AKT3 is a leading manufacturers representation firm, specializing in entertainment and architectural lighting. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Technician to join our team and contribute to the successful activation of factory equipment and complete control systems. This role is crucial in ensuring that our clients' facilities operate efficiently and effectively from day one.
Responsibilities
Perform low voltage terminations of lighting fixtures and control hardware.
Conduct initial programming/configuration of control systems and related peripherals.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical systems during the turn-on phase.
Coordinate with on-site teams and contractors to facilitate a smooth activation process.
Conduct system testing and verify functionality according to project specifications.
Provide training and support to end-users on system operation.
Maintain accurate documentation of all terminations, programming changes, and troubleshooting activities.
Track time on-site and associated expenses by project name/number
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical systems or related field is a plus.
Proven experience in low voltage terminations and initial programming for factory equipment.
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
Familiarity with industry-standard protocols such as DMX512, IP/TCP, DALI, 0-10v, analog control logic.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills for interfacing with clients, team members, and contractors.
Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role within the Lighting sector.
Knowledge of Theatrical Systems, Architectural Controls, and/or Lighting Control for Commercial spaces
Basic understanding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems.

Salary range 45K-55K based upon experience.
